The Living Urn® BioUrn® Memorial Tree Planting System - For Use With Your Own Tree

Grow a tree from the ashes of a loved one as a living memorial for future generations to visit and enjoy. 

Created by The Living Urn®, the BioUrn® Planting System is simple to use and contains everything you need to create a living memorial, except for the tree itself. This is so you can choose your loved one's favourite tree or plant, or select one that is particularly suited to your climate or desired location.

100% Biodegradable Urn - The BioUrn® is 100% natural and biodegradable, made from recycled plant-derived materials so it can be safely buried in the ground.

Protective Bamboo Case Included - The urn is supplied with a protective wooden case making it it easy to transport to the desired planting location. The case is handmade from sustainable bamboo and can be used after the urn has been planted as a keepsake box for special items.

How to use it:

1. Choose your tree (not provided) - Select a small tree or shrub from your local nursery or garden centre and follow the step-by-step instructions provided with The Living Urn®.

2. Transfer the ashes into the urn - Remove the BioUrn® from it's protective bamboo case and carefully transfer the ashes into the urn. Set the bamboo case aside.

3. Add nutrients - Pour the proprietary RootProtect® Ash Neutralizing Agent into the urn on top of the ashes. Ashes are naturally alkaline, so this helps to lower the pH level and adds essential plant nutrients.

4. Plant the tree - Lower the roots of the young tree into the BioUrn® and plant the urn in the ground. Add the wood chips on top of the soil and water your tree well. Enjoy a beautiful living memorial to keep your loved one's memory alive for many years to come. 

Not ready to plant yet? No problem. After adding the ashes to the urn, simply put the top back on and place the urn back in the bamboo case for safekeeping until you are ready to plant it. The BioUrn® has no expiry date and only biodegrades once it has been planted, so you can safely store the ashes in the urn for as long as you like, or until you have decided on a final resting place.

Use the wooden case as a memory box One the BioUrn® has ben planted, the bamboo case is perfect for use as a keepsake or memory box for the safekeeping of special items.

Dimensions: The Bio BioUrn® is available in one size: 38cm tall x 20cm in diameter (15" tall x 8" diameter). The volume is 3.6 litres (220 cubic inches) which can safely hold all of an adult's ashes.

Delivery of The Living Urn® Products This item is only available for UK delivery. It will be shipped to you directly by The Living Urn and due to the size and weight the delivery charge is £9.59 (2-3 working days). 

If your order is time sensitive we recommend selecting the DPD Next Working Day courier option for UK orders, and the DHL Express courier option for international orders, as these are the fastest delivery services that we offer.

UK DELIVERY

Orders placed by 3pm are dispatched the same day from Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays). Orders placed after 3pm will be dispatched the next working day.

INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY

We deliver to the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. We offer a choice of Royal Mail Standard International Tracked Post or a faster DHL Express Courier service, for more time sensitive orders.
