Affiliate Programme FAQs

Here are the answers to some common questions about our Affiliate Programme. 

What is an affiliate programme?

An affiliate programme is marketing tool where a business pays commission to an affiliate partner when they refer a customer to their website. The affiliate is able to create unique links to products on the merchant's site, which they share with their contacts via their own website or social media. When a customer uses the affiliate's link to purchase a product, the affiliate earns a small commission as a thank you for referring the customer.

We know that many of our friends, followers and contacts already recommend us to their clients and followers, so this is our way of saying thank you and giving something back.

How does it work?

As an affiliate you will be able to create unique links to products on our website. These affiliate links contain a tracking code which is unique to you, so when a customer clicks on your affiliate link and places an order, you will earn commission on the value of that order. The customer pays the normal price and their order is processed as normal. 

Who can apply?

We would like to partner with businesses or individuals who have high quality websites or social media accounts and who share our values. For example, you may be a funeral director, civil celebrant, blogger or social media influencer, or perhaps you work in the charity or healthcare sector. We will consider all applications, so feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.

How much commission can I earn?

You can earn commission of up to 10% of the total order value (excluding postage). Currently all of our products earn 10% commission, except for balloons and candles which earn 5%. 

How do I share affiliate links?

You could share an affiliate product link via your website, social media account, in a blog post, email newsletter, or by adding one of our attractive banners to your website or blog. If you'd like a specific banner for your website, just let us know.

Do I need to tell my website visitors that my site contains affiliate links? 

Yes, for example if you use an affiliate link in a blog post, in the interests of transparency you should put a disclaimer such as: 'this post contains affiliate links which means if you click through and make a purchase we may receive a small commission (at no extra cost to you). We only link to products that we love and hope you will too'.

If you are sharing an affiliate link or affiliate discount code via social media, you should make this clear by using a hashtag such as #aff or #affiliate in the post.

How do I get paid?

Commission payments are made monthly via PayPal. There is a minimum payout value of £25. You will earn commission on the value of the whole order, not just the product that you shared. If a customer clicks on your affiliate link but doesn't place an order straight away, you'll still earn commission on any order placed within 30 days of their first visit.

Do I need to be 'techie'?

No, the programme is very simple and intuitive to use. If you can cut and paste a link, you will have no problem at all.
